Namaste. From its origins over 5,000 years ago, yoga has been used as a
practice to gain enlightenment. And although there are now many forms of
yoga, one quality still seems consistent: our need to connect with our
hearts to something more than just our physical bodies.
In learning to practice the
restraints
(yamas) and observances (niyamas), postures, breath
control, withdrawal of the senses, focus, meditation and integration,
we begin to discover a life of vibrant fullness in ourselves and our
surroundings. Receiving the benefits of yoga requires a sincere
commitment to a daily practice of opening your heart for whatever
comes up in the present moment. You become the artist of your life,
creating an expression of beauty. -Monica Paredes

the goodness that you are." -Swami Kripalu
